St. Vincent Tourism

We've pretty much settled into a routine: 1 banana, piece of bread with peanut butter, 3 prunes, 8 almonds and a hot beverage for breakfast, off to service, have the mid day meal and return. But today there was a unexpected side trip on our way back.

We stopped to pick a friend up who directed us to a resort that we've been seeing four times a day. It's the white sandy beach  surrounded by the natural black sand that is easily spotted from the road we take.

We've just parked and this is what we see. Sadly we didn't come prepared for this outing.

Here we are at the entrance of the resort.

There were several of these birds in the area.

We've been security approved and have crossed the wooden bridge. Now you can see just how white the sand is. It was imported from South America.

The compound is much larger than it first appears. There are individual units and apartment style blocks. One picture is missing - the restaurant which I really had trouble passing.

This place is idyllic!

There is a model sailboat in the lobby of the reception area and Buzz went out of control.

Making progress

As quick as Buzz was, Woody was a lot quicker. He was at the top waiting for Buzz. Buzz has been eating too many peanut butter sandwiches and it's slowing him down.

Can you see Buzz? He finally made it to the top. Land ahoy!

We even had a tour of the grounds and a suite.  This lily was exquisite. So was the suite. We may have to phone home to say our trip home is delayed.

Would anyone be able to join us?

Buzz and Woody are begging us to stay.

  1. Wow, that certainly is quite a place! Do you still have Buzz with you or is he hiding out in the model ship?

All the pictures are great. It sure would be nice to be down there. I don't think it's much cooler here at the moment.

God's beautiful creation AND the Holy Spirit, does it get any better than that? Enjoy them both (as I know you are). Safe travels :)
